I had always wanted to try and ride a motorcycle, and five years ago I finally got round to doing it.I was hooked from day one, and absolutely LOVE it! My professional career is aviation: I am an air traffic controller and feel really blessed having a job I love. Motorcycling is definitely my happy space and I have made amazing friends from it. Where ever I go I am greeted with a wave, a smile, a hug, be it the race track or the road. My heart doesn’t beat, it revs with my bike.

The first time I sat on the back of a bike I forgot to breathe for about the first 5 km’s, the thrill of it got me! Knew I needed to get from the back to the front of the bike and I loose myself every time I get on a bike- it’s so much fun! I love being a part of AWMA, the support is phenomenal, we have so much fun and it doesn’t matter what level you are at. My day job is in the travel industry and the 24/7 job is being a mum to my boy who loves coming along to the race track and get among it!

My name is Jitse Krab, been a member of AWMA since October/November or something around that time. My motorcycle is a BMW F-650-GS and I am on my learner’s license. I have been participating with AWMA’s confidence boost training and the Bronze and advanced Urban ride forever courses, the confidence boosts helped me so much on how to get to know my bike and how to ride it Most of all, AWMA is not about money, they give me a feeling that I matter and the only aim for them is to get better together, it’s like family I am very lucky and proud to be an AWMA member

Kia Ora I’m Erin and I joined as a member in late 2018. I had only been riding for 5 months at that point. Over tme I have had great opportunities to undertake various skill development courses and have made some really good friendships with like minded and supportive women. Today my pride and joy is the Ducati Monster 821 and I continue to enjoy my journey with AWMA. I love being a part of AWMA,in supporting and encouraging others along the way however I can.
